Yay! It’s a hundred degrees and humid, but that doesn’t matter because True Blood is back! After all the Twilight hoopla it’s nice to see vampires who actually rip out throats rather than angst all over the place. Random corpses are not uncommon in Azeroth, but this couple, captured for posterity by WoWarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Whisperwind&cn=Decabah”>Decabah of <The Collective> on Whisperwind (US-A), are more preserved than the usual skeletons. “It reminded me of the images of two fossilized lovers entwined in one anothers arms in the midst of the explosion at Pompeii,” wrote Decabah. “Pretty heavy stuff for a video game.”

Xenikos of <Outlandish> on Velen (US-A) is stuck in the eye of the storm. Not the erratically populated battleground, but the natural weather phenomenon — in this case, caused by a small, localized thunder god. Xenikos writes that after his guildmate Roquan assembled all the parts of Thunderfury, he and the rest of <Outlandish> gathered in Silithus for the event. While trying to snap a shot of Thunderaan, he ended up with this picture.

Smokeey of Arygos (US-A) writes, “For years this kid thought he was an orphan while his father was off killing demons in Outland, purging the Scourge from Northrend, killing furbolgs for beads and feathers to make other furbolgs like him and occasionally sampling copious amounts of the latest Brew of the Month. (Seriously, I have no idea why I woke up naked next to those murlocs outside of Goldshire.) Smokeey decided that he wanted a new pet, so he decided show this orphan around Azeroth only to find out it was his son. They traveled the world together for a few hours, enjoyed ice cream and together stole flags and captured towers to the annoyance of many around them. In the end, an ICC 25 group called Smokeey away, resulting in this heartbreaking farewell. But that dagger that Lord Marrowgar drops is just calling Smokeey’s name.”
